Preschool Assistant Teacher Part-Time
We are hiring a Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our friendly staff. Our business hours are 7:45-5:15, Monday through Friday.
Montessori Children’s House is a privately owned Preschool in Bozeman, MT., located very close to MSU, with 3 age-separated classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 3½ years.
Our sunlit classrooms, equipped with Montessori material, the generous outdoor space as well as our cooperative teacher teams and the supportive administration make Montessori Children’s House a great place to work.
Qualifications:
- A friendly nature, patience and love for young children
- Experience caring for young children
- Flexible and open-minded
- Enjoy working in a child care team
- Knowledge of the Montessori Method preferred
- Knowledge of best practices as well as the ability to engage young children and earn their trust
- Communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow preschool teachers and parents or guardians
- Must pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid Certification required. (Paid for by the school)
Assisting in:
- Maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children.
- Performing creative and educational activities
- Preparing and feeding snacks and lunches
- Maintaining a clean environment for small children
- Demonstrating a compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
