About

The Essentials About Our Montessori School

Mission Statement

Teachers and parents working together to honor and encourage each child's unique potential through high quality care offered in a nurturing, creative and educational environment.

The Montessori Children’s House is a licensed child care center for ages 6 weeks to 3 ½ years with three separate programs for infants, toddlers, and pre-primary, allowing for the developmental needs of each age group to be met.

We provide a lovely, enriching, caring environment year-round with a child/teacher ratio that allows for maximum individual attention of each child. We enjoy working in partnership with families and look forward to meeting you.

Where We Began

Montessori Children's House, which is owned & operated by Cynthia Bennett, first opened in Bozeman in 1996 as the Giving Tree Montessori school. Cynthia built a thriving community that served infants and toddlers and operated until 2002. She then sold her school & moved to Tennessee.

From 2002 to 2011 Cynthia focused on raising her own 5 children and is excited to now be back in Bozeman and reopened her school, Montessori Children's House, for the families of Gallatin Valley in 2011.

Where We Are Now

Montessori Children's House is in a perfect location next to Montana State University on Kagy Boulevard with access to the rugged beauty of the open space and mountain views near by.

What we love most about this facility is that it is newly and beautifully remodeled and provides plenty of space for us to grow and welcome more children into this nurturing environment.

Our Unique Environment

Our spacious & inviting classrooms provide a rich experience for each child to develop, thrive and build new friendships. The children can safely play in our large fenced back yard, soaking up the fresh air.

For the convenience of parents, we also have a large commercial size parking lot allowing 15 cars to park at the same time.

Our school is named in honor of Maria Montessori's first school in Rome, Italy, Casa Dei Bambini. Maria Montessori lived from 1870 to 1952 and her method shows a profound understanding of the child and has been successfully used throughout the world. Our structure, location and teachers all reflect the heart of the Montessori method and philosophy that has stood the test of time.
